Lincoln’s “Name That Snowplow” Contest
From 2023 to 2025, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) invited residents to participate in a "Name That Snowplow" contest, celebrating community creativity and adding a little fun to winter operations. Residents submitted snowplow names, then voted for their favorites from a list of finalists selected by LTU snowfighters. Winning names were displayed on City snowplows, giving the community a chance to leave its mark on Lincoln’s winter fleet.
*502 votes were cast in the contest, and the winning names were featured on eight City snowplows.
