The five members of the Housing Authority Board are appointed by the mayor with approval of the City Council. Members serve five year terms. The Authority works with City and federal governments to provide housing to low-income residents. Funding is provided by the federal government.
This City-owned utility distributes electric energy to Lincoln and surrounding areas. LES provides a number of products and services designed to assist customers to effectively and effiently use energy. LES is directed by a nine-member Administrative Board. The Mayor recommends and the City Council approves board members. The City Council has final approval over LES rates and budget.
