JUNE 23RD - CITIZENS' MEETING
What better way to kick-off our Summer Season than to have Lincoln's Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice-President for Public Policy present an exciting report on Lincoln's myriad attractions - both physical and economic!! Mr. Bruce Bohrer of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce along with his cohorts in local opportunities Jason Smith and Lana Zumbrunn from the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development will update us on the City's economic development front-line efforts. Also speaking will be the City's Economic Development Coordinator, Darl Naumann, who works closely with the Chamber and LPED in marketing Lincoln to the world. Wendy Birdsall, Interim Chamber President and Convention Visitors Bureau President, will have information on the proposed Arena/Convention Center. Mr. Bohrer will give an overview of the Nebraska Advantage Act; and the Chambers' "Benefits of Growth" report will be open for discussion. This will be a great chance to have your comments and questions regarding Lincoln's economic development opportunities addressed by folks who have the knowledge to provide substantive and informed responses.
