NORTHEAST CITIZENS’ MEETING
THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2007
Vince Mejer, Purchasing Agent for the City of Lincoln and Lancaster County, is our guest speaker and will tell how his department operates as the central ordering point for all City and County purchases.
If anyone does business with the City or County they know of the bidding opportunities and awards/contracts in all areas, including commodities, services and unit pricing. Vince absolutely knows the “ins” and “outs” of all purchasing phases and can explain how a normal bid procedure works to ensure a fair process, and also cite examples of how things did not work so smoothly.
