City Council Office
This month we will hear from Mary Foerster, a volunteer with the American Cancer Society. How many loved ones, and associates, do we know who are now suffering with, or are hopefully a survivor of cancer? The American Cancer Society fights the disease of cancer by raising funds, sharing hope for the future, and continually tries to create a world where cancer no longer threatens us.
Mary will give insight into our local chapter of the American Cancer Society with an overview of some of their services and wonderful programs. Their mission is to eliminate cancer as a life-threatening disease, to help people take steps to prevent cancer, or detect it early. They give guidance through cancer experiences, raise funds for research, and work with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer.
After her presentation Mary has left time open for a question and answer period.
We look forward to seeing you on
