On Thursday, September 15th, we’ll receive information on Lincoln’s new Development Services Center (DSC). This requested topic will be presented by Fred Hoke, Manager of the Development Services Center (DSC), who also will serve as the Director of Building and Safety.Before Fred joined the City of Lincoln he was a professional educator, plus a leader and innovator with corporations, non-profits and public schools. In Lincoln he has also served as the Government Affairs Director for the Home Builders Association and was Project Director for the Storm Water Awareness Network.
As Manager of DSC Fred oversees the collaboration of five departments: Building & Safety; Health; Planning; Public Works & Utilities; and Urban Development. Together these departments provide professional planning, building and engineering services while focusing on the health, safety, security and economic well-being of the community. DSC is designed to promote economic development and community growth by providing quality and efficient services for builders, developers and property owners.
