TOM CASADY, PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR

You probably remember our speaker this month from when he was Police Chief, serving Lincoln from January 1994 until June of 2011. This was after he was an enforcement officer, starting in 1974. We welcome Tom Casady.

In June of 2011 Tom was named as Lincoln’s Public Safety Director, overseeing the operations of the Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire and Rescue and the 911 Communications Center.

As Public Safety Director Tom will speak on the reorganization of public safety services in Lincoln, and the implications of this for citizens. He’ll explain how public and private participation results in Lincoln’s improvement.

Director Casady will address the many special services and will answer the questions citizens may have regarding the reorganization.
