LINCOLN WEED ABATEMENT -
LANCASTER COUNTY WEED CONTROL
We are very lucky to have Brent Meyer, Superintendent of Weed Abatement in the City of Lincoln, and Noxious Weeds in Lancaster County, speak to us at this time of year.
After growing up on a farm in south-central Nebraska, where he had to chop musk thistle, Brent developed a career in Noxious Weed Control. First, he was Weed Superintendent of Nuckolls County, then accepted a position with the State of Nebraska’s Noxious Weed Program. For the last three years Brent is responsible for the City of Lincoln’s Weed Abatement Program and diminishment of Noxious Weeds in Lancaster County.
Brent will explain the Weed Abatement Program here in Lincoln. Exactly, what is considered overgrowth? Who’s responsible in preventing? How do dedicated homeowners control? What to do with yard neglectful neighbors? Brent will answer these, and other questions, on this yearly problem.
We all have specific questions and Brent has left time open to answer questions on planning and maintaining a beautiful landscape.
