City Council Office
CITY OF LINCOLN
On Thursday, November 20th, we’ll receive information on StarTran - the city’s bus system. This requested topic will be presented by Mike Davis, StarTran Manager.
Before Mike joined the City of Lincoln in June of 2013 he was the transit manager of operations for Los Alamos County in New Mexico. He came to StarTran with 15 years of progressive experience managing public transportation projects, programs, and initiatives. With his Bachelor and Master degrees he’s leading StarTran Transit into the next phase of quality, safety, and responsiveness.
Mike’s commitment to increasing people’s opportunities by having an available, and affordable, transit system guides him to innovate programs to support the expansion of StarTran. The focus on enhancing community transportation, keeping heavily traveled routes, while making transit competitive with the automobile, moves StarTran, and Lincoln, forward.
Mike will speak on StarTran’s current activities, including receiving a Federal Transit Administration grant of $2 million. A question and answer time provided at the end of the presentation.
