JOHN CHAPO
LINCOLN CHILDREN'S ZOO

“The Lincoln Children’s Zoo - Celebrating 50 Years of Community and Looking Towards 50 More!”

This sentiment is felt by Lincoln citizens, surrounding areas, vacationers, and also voiced by John Chapo, President and CEO of the Zoo. We welcome John as our guest speaker this month.

John has been President and CEO of the Lincoln Children’s Zoo since 1986. During this time we’ve seen an increase in habitats, pavilions, railroad replacement, opening of the Commons Education Center, numerous other openings, events, and of course the animals! With over 200,000 visitors each year, and it keeps increasing, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo is the third most attended arts and science attraction in Nebraska.

John has studied at Indiana University, the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, Channel Island, Great Britain and is a member of copious professional associations.

With only an hour John will outline the Zoo’s progress and the future. There will be time for questions and answers.

Please join us on:
