This month we welcome Chief of Police Jeff Bliemeister. Jeff was named the Chief of Police for the Lincoln Police Department in April of 2016. Some of us already knew him and if you did not this is your chance to personally meet.
Jeff began his public service with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office in 1996. He supervised the Criminal Investigations, Patrol, Special Services, and Administrative Support Divisions. He served the Sheriff’s Office as Chief Deputy from 2012 until hired by the Lincoln Police Department.
In his career Jeff has been a member of the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, Tactical Response Unit, Crime Scene Investigations Unit, and was the Field Training Officer coordinator. Jeff also serves the community in his private life being on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club and volunteering for Sheridan Lutheran Church and the Child Advocacy Center.
