City Council Office
We’re so pleased to welcome Steve Hubka, Finance Director, as the guest speaker at our Northeast Citizens’ Meeting.
Steve, a UNL graduate, has worked 34 years for the City, serving under 6 Mayors, and working with numerous City department directors. With this combination of talent and experience Steve has always pressed for reason and fiscal responsibility, leading our City to a triple-A bond rating.
With discussion of the Mayor’s recommended Biennial Budget 2016 - 2018, currently in progress, among Lincoln constituents, city departments, and the City Council voting on tentative changes next Monday, now is the perfect time for Steve to explain the complicated process the city goes through in determining how budget decisions are made and how they may affect you and me.
After this update of the city budget do join in the discussion of this timely topic. Steve will leave time to give clarification of how the city is proceeding and to answer your specific questions.
