LINCOLN POLICE DEPARTMENT
This month we bring a speaker, Conan Schafer, who has years of accumulated knowledge and experience on the requested subject of liquor licenses in Lincoln, specifically in Northeast Lincoln.
Conan is a lifelong resident of Lincoln and has been a Lincoln Police Officer for the past 20 years. After being active in different Police services, Conan is currently assigned to the Management Services Unit as the Liquor and Keno Investigator. Conanís responsibilities include, but not limited to, conducting background investigations on all liquor and keno applicants, and managing any criminal or administrative cases involving liquor licensed establishments or keno satellite locations. Investigator Schafer somehow also finds the time to instruct the Responsible Hospitality Councilís Alcohol Management Course
Conan will give an overview of the types and number of Northeast businesses which have liquor licenses, how the Police Department interacts with the businesses, and the most common types of liquor license violations. If time permits Conan will explain what a Special Designated License is, what theyíre used for, and who can obtain one.
