Meeting called to order by President Densberger at 2005

Roll call answered by Crete, Firth, Hallam, Malcolm, Pleasantdale Raymond, Southeast, Waverly Fire, Emergency Management, 911, and the Health Department

Minutes from the last meeting at Greenwood read and approved.

Treasurers from August and September read and approved. Motion to move $1000.00 from the saving certificate to the Communications account to pay past due bills by Malcolm. Seconded by Firth. Unanimously approved.

OLD BUSINESS
No takers on the EMT-B class through Lincoln. Crete will be having a celebration honoring Clarence Busboom for 50 years of service to the Crete Fire Department will be held form 1400-1600 with an open house and an award presentation at 1500. The communications committee would like to have some vendor answers by the next meeting. Doug will know by October 1st whether we will get the funding for the radio system.

NEW BUSINESS
Doug has purchased 6 portable decontamination units through the Metropolitan medical response system money he has received. Each of these can decon up to 1800 people. Three of the trailers will be stationed in the county and three in the city. Doug would like to have the rural departments train to be able to deploy and use these. These will rotate between departments if we agree to train some of people to use the equipment. Doug will also be getting the state emergency command post vehicle. This will be available for use when it is ready. The table top disaster drill exercise went well. Next March a hands on exercise with a rail car will be held either in the county or the city. Doug has brand new radiological monitoring for those who have the old stuff that was issued in the 60’s. The new county Leop is at the printers and will be distributed soon.
