Jim, Julie and representatives from the Radio Shop attended the Saunders county mutual aid meeting in Malmo NE. Saunders county is looking at going to 800 MHz. There was some discussion on having a performance bond as part of the contract going out to the bidders. Doug suggested we have Cathy Smith from Purchasing review the contract as she does many large contracts of this nature. The Radio Shop reports the license application for the paging frequencies has been received by the FCC and is being reviewed. There was discussion on using 2004 grant money for purchasing another tower. Greg from the Radio Shop suggested placing it in the north part of the county due to the hills.
