Meeting called to order at 2004 by President Densberger.
Roll call answered by Bennet, Crete, Eagle, Firth, Hickman, Lincoln, Malcolm, Pleasant Dale, Raymond, Southeast, Southwest, Waverly, Valparaiso, Health Department, 911, NE Forest Service and Emergency Management.
Minutes from the meeting at the Eagle Fire station read. Treasurers report was presented. Motion to accept by Hickman second by Southeast.
Jim Densberger passed out the CO detectors Doug ordered for us from the 2002 ODP funds.
NEW BUSINESS Brian Johnson from Waverly was contacted by a person wanting to give away Medi Teddy bears to emergency service agencies. he will bring info on the gentleman for us. Ron Erickson from the Health department would like to set up a class for us to learn how to use their new field testing equipment. It would be an 8 hour class. You can contact Ron at 441-6238 if you would like to set up a class. Dan Wright says the LFR training for mutual aid will be on Saturdays, May 15th, August 21st and November 20th. They will be sending out a flier. Doug will be having training sessions for the mass decon trailers at departments around the county. Eric Rasmussen says that the Forest service bill has been signed and passed by the Governor. He says that they have received 1,250 preregistrations for fire school all ready. Ten out of Thirty one classes are already filled. He also says they are in the decision making process on the cost share funds.
We are going to have spots on both the Norris public power tower by Hallam and the Alltel tower in the northwest part of the county. We have been given 8 800 MHz channels by the state. Work is being done on naming the channels and how they will be used. More will be discussed at the May meeting. The meeting was then adjourned to go into executive session on the radio bids from the vendors.
