Doug Ahlberg asked if departments would be interested in radiological training. He will have the instructors who taught the class come back this winter. They would be willing to teach the class on a Saturday and teach the train the trainer part on Sunday to make it easier for us to attend. Doug needs a commitment for 40 people to have the class. Doug also says the instructors are willing to come back this winter to teach the 3.5 day unified command class. The state is going through the selection process for who will receive what 2004 ODP money. Five departments will be receiving AEDS through the MMRS grant funds from the Health Department.

She also talked about a plan to get all the transport ambulances in the Mutual Aid Association an 800 trunked radio to communicate with the hospitals on the hospitals channel. The State Trauma board has donated $10,000 towards getting this accomplished. This will provide the radios and cover maintenance fees until September 2006. Dave west says that the award letters to the vendors for the system are due by May 21. He will set up a meeting with the winning vendor the week after that.
