OLD BUSINESS
Mini Fire School attendance numbers aren't looking good. The Committee will have a meeting on Thursday to discuss. It was decided to cancel the EMS class and the Taking care of you own class and just hold the ICS with simulations class and the propane class. The school ended up with about 30 students and 20 instructors in attendance. The committee will schedule an after action meeting to look at the evaluation sheets and decide if we want to start planning for another school next year. Dan Wright said there were some problems where Eagle had asked for HAZMAT 14 for mutual aid. Not finding it anywhere on 911's tapes. There are some problems with the coverage of the SouthTAC. Radio shop will check out the tower for problems and get back to us. Dispatch would like us to make all requests to them on calls on North or South. Some of us would like Dispatch to call us on the Tac channels if they can't reach us on North or South. We will work to gather to solve this, There have been some problems on mutual aids with units still using low band, These should be solved with vehicle mounted repeaters, Both Garland and Palmyra are considering buying some 800 radios to communicate with us since they mutual aid with our departments frequently. NPPD has also asked to be able to operate on our frequencies to mutual with Hallam.

A makeup storm spotter class will be held at the County extension office Doug is working on getting the NIMS class taught in the county. It is also available in a self-study version on line.
