Minutes from the meeting at the Waverly Fire Station read and approved.
Treasurers report read and approved by motion from Crete second by Palmyra
Doug only received back 5 of the surveys he sent out. Lincoln Fire will be going to the County Board to ask for some sort of reimbursement for county dry runs. There was talk of a countywide rescue service and other alternatives. Last year Lincoln had a $150,000.00 debt from county calls. Jim would like to see some actual figures.
2004 grant money purchased 10 handhelds 3 mobiles per Lancaster county mutual aid department. It also paid for 1 battery charger analyzer and 1 repeater per Lancaster county mutual aid department from the 2005 grant. 2006 funds will start after October
No new news on the cost of the audit. There will be a meeting of the 2006 Mini Fire School committee at 1900 on September 19 th our next meeting date at the Crete Fire Station
September 13 th Emergency Management will be holding an open house at their new storage building at 444 Cherrycreek. There will be a display of items bought with the Homeland Security grants. Mutual Aid will be represented as well as other departments. The Mayor of Lincoln the County board and the Lincoln City Council plus news media are expected to attend.
Bill Lyons has bee replaced by Jim Neumann at the Health Department. The Health Department has received an FTIR for identifying unknown substances. The Health Department has been approached by Keep Nebraska Beautiful about putting some permanent pick up points for Household Hazardous waste disposal. They would like to know if any other the County Mutual Aid departments would be interested in hosting a site. The Health Department would man the site and be responsible for it.
