The legislative breakfast went well per Eric Rasmussen. Hearings are beginning on LB522 which discusses how Rescue Squad donation dollars can be used and on LB780 The Mental Health bill for First Responders. This would allow First Responder to draw on Workmans Comp for mental trauma caused by a call. We also need to keep a close eye as to the State continuing to financially support the Fire Marshals office. The NSVFA and The Chiefs Association are looking at a computer system to improve Fire School registration. Information on classes should be out shortly.
