Treasurer’s report unchanged..

BUSINESS:
Eric Rasmussen brought up some legislative issues. There is a bill to move the budget tax levy back to the Rural Fire District Boards from the County boards. Also the novelty lighter bill and more support for the Fire Marshals Office. Hallam would like to have a meeting where we can view some of Lincolns USAR equipment like their exothermic torches. Hickman wanted to thank Emergency Management for their dive class. Also they brought up that GI was looking for volunteers to help with the water fights beverage garden and food at Fire School. It was asked whether anyone had noticed any issues with radio communications. Ray or one of his representatives from the radio shop will attend the February meeting.

EMS
The contract has been signed by the city. No new news on the Oversight Committee.

• Palmyra chili supper February 26th
• Otoe County Mini Fire school in Syracuse in March.
• State Fire School May 20th-22nd.
• Hazmat IQ this summer in Lavista.
