Second quarter invoices sent out.
BUSINESS:
Need to get invoice to Emergency Management for Dues. Would people prefer a
carbon copy invoice or emailed invoices. Let me know. 30 people registered for
the Carstar class. red Cross would like to thank all who helped with the fund
raiser. Reminder to drive Rigs and POV’s carefully.
Planning for the Airshow 10/10 and 10/11 brought up by Doug. Expecting 300,000 to 375,000 people. Doug also brought up Terrex 11 which will be a functional exercise at UNL this year with an active shooter on campus. They need evaluators and controllers. Contact Dough if interested. Doug says there are several training events in the Southeast region and is looking for a volunteer to set on the committee. Doug is looking at sideview sonar equipment after the Branched Oak incident. He is looking to purchase this with regional money. 1 to LFR and 1 to the State. Doug received 173 triage bags for the region and will give them to the Mutual Aid departments with Ambulances. It’s that time of the year for Storm Spotter training.
Eric Rasmussen says Fire School registration is open send in your preregistration with 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for classes. It looks like The Fire Marshals Office will maintain funding. No report from the pager committee, however there are some paging issues. Radio Shop will discuss next meeting. They are looking at the problem.
Ron Erickson says 80-90 Meth labs in the East O area created by various people. Ron thinks when these people get out from behind bars they’ll be back in business.
Guy Pinkman will be the new LFR representative to the Association. We would like to view the USAR equipment and his working on getting that set up
