Dan Ripley

Fire Captain Dan Ripley began his career with Lincoln Fire & Rescue in February of 2004, as a firefighter, after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University in 2003. In addition to his duties as a company officer, he currently serves as the event coordinator for Lincoln Fire & Rescue's Zoo Day, as the liaison for the department's interactive display at the Lincoln Children's museum, and as the curator of the LF&R Museum at 1801 "Q" Street. Captain Ripley has been a member of the DHS-FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team - Nebraska Task Force 1 since 2004. He currently serves as a Logistics Specialist, and has been deployed to disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Dean. His most recent assignment is Company Officer of Engine 3, C-Shift.
