Many items are prohibited from the landfill since they may eventually pose an environmental hazard and threaten public health. If you have questions concerning the proper disposal of any waste call the Lincoln- Lancaster County Health Department at (402) 441-8040
Hazardous Wastes:
Hazardous waste from residents should be disposed of at a Household Hazardous Waste Collection. (Household Hazardous Waste) Business, industry and governmentally produced hazardous waste must call the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (402) 441-6238 for information.

Special Wastes:
Special waste is nonhazardous waste generated from businesses, industry and government. A special waste permit must be issued by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department for special waste to be disposed at the landfill. Call the Special Waste Permit program for more information at (402) 441-8640.

Bulk Liquids:
Bulk liquids are waste liquids from business, industry and government and require special approval by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department for disposal at the wastewater treatment plant. Call the Special Waste Permit program at (402) 441-8640 for more information.
