Wood Piles

To prevent wood piles from becoming nesting sites for rodents, they should be properly stacked and maintained.

Wood should be stacked

  • At least an arm's length from the wall of your house.
  • Away from a dog kennel or pet enclosure.
  • At least 12 inches off the ground.
  • In narrow stacks with a 2-foot gap between stacks.
