Will anyone be able to see my information?

No. All client information is kept strictly confidential.

What should I expect during my clinic visit and examination?

The clinic visit will include a visual examination for lesions associated with Syphilis, Herpes and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) warts. A pelvic examination will be performed on all females. Males will be asked for a urine sample (must not have urinated at least one hour prior to collection). Labs will include a blood draw.

You will be instructed on how to receive test results. If indicated, certain treatments may be provided during the STD Clinic visit at no additional cost. Written prescriptions must be purchased at your local pharmacy.

Staff will provide health education, counseling and referrals.

What if my test result is positive after using the Express STD Clinic?

We recommend visiting our next STD Clinic for treatment, health education, counseling, and referral. Testing for other STDs is highly recommended as you can have more than one infection at the same time. Additional fees will apply. STD Clinic hours are listed above.

What if my test result is negative after using the Express STD Clinic but I am still having symptoms?

Express STD Clinic only tests for 2 STDs: Chlamydia & Gonorrhea. You may have other STDs. We recommend visiting our next STD Clinic for other testing, treatment, health education, counseling, and referral. Additional fees will apply. STD Clinic hours are listed above.

What about my partner?

It is very important that all sexual partners are tested and treated, not only for their health, but to stop the spread of infection. We encourage you to talk to your partner about visiting our STD Clinic, visiting their own doctor, or calling our clinic to talk to a nurse at the number listed above

When can I begin having sex after visiting the STD Clinic?

You should not have any sexual contact until lab results have been finalized, treatments for you and your partner(s) have been completed, and symptoms have resolved.
