ABOUT

The Northeast center has been serving the community in "Historic Havelock" for over 21 years offering a variety of services and activities. This center is considered a principal source of opportunities, activities and information relating to aging. It is the place in your community where you may fulfill many of your social, physical, nutritional, and intellectual needs. Whether it be an activity oriented day trip to points of interest in the area; an educational presentation dealing with life situations; recreation time with cards, movies, playing pool or exercise; meditation or reflection with friends and neighbors, Northeast center is "your home away from home" and you are always welcome.

SERVICES

Transportation: Transportation is provided within a specific boundary area. City Limits on the North to South Street on the South; 33rd Street on the West side to the City Limits on the East side. Call 402-441-7151 to schedule your ride. The suggested contribution is only $2 each way, ($4 round trip). Please call two days in advance.

Commodities: Monthly commodities are distributed the third Monday of every month at 9:30 a.m. Call 402-438-5231 to register and have your commodities available for pickup at the Northeast center.

Health Services: Free blood pressure screening is provided by Waverly Care Center on the first Wednesday of the month and by Haven Manor on the third Wednesday of the month. Monthly trips are scheduled to the Health & Fitness Senior Health Promotion Clinic. Call 402-441-7151 to sign up.

Rental Information: If you are looking for a place to hold a birthday party, anniversary celebration, family reunion, or organization meeting, call the
Northeast center at 402-441-7151.

My Center News: Aging Partners monthly "My Center News" is filled with monthly activities and events. These newsletters are available for free at your
local senior center or by mail for a suggested contribution of $6 per year for those 60+ An $8 fee for those under age 60. Call 402-441-7151 for details.
