Beginning the night of Thursday, November 14, portions of East "O" Street will close temporarily for the installation of two large overhead signs that will direct traffic onto one-way pairs. All eastbound lanes of "O" Street between 52nd and 56th streets will close from midnight until about 2:00 a.m. Friday. Eastbound traffic will be diverted onto "R" Street. If crews complete the installation of the first sign before 3:00 a.m., they will install a second sign, closing all westbound lanes of East "O" Street between 66th Street and Cotner Boulevard for about two hours, until around 5:00 a.m. Westbound traffic will be diverted to Vine Street. If the first sign is not completed before 3:00 a.m., crews will wait until Monday night, November 18, to install the second sign. On that night, all westbound lanes of "O" Street would close between 66th Street and Cotner Boulevard from midnight until about 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.
