	TeamMates Mentoring Program Recognized by Mayor Sandi Fabry, Coordinator of the Lincoln TeamMates program, spoke about the importance of mentoring at the Mayor’s news conference January 29. With her is Josh Cramer of the TeamMates program and Cindy Dittmann, a City employee who volunteers as a TeamMates mentor.

	Hat Day Mayor Seng declared February 2 as "Mad Hatters Day" in Lincoln in honor of the Lincoln Community Playhouse and its annual “Mad Hatters Affair” fund-raiser. With Mayor Seng is Rick Helweg, Executive Director of the Playhouse.

	Black History Month Mayor Seng issued a proclamation declaring February as Black History Month in the city. She presented the proclamation to Ed Wimes, President of the Malone Center Board of Directors at a news conference February 12.

	"A Place at the Table" The Lincoln-Lancaster Women’s Commission (LLWC) released the findings of its report, "A Place at the Table," at the Mayor’s news conference February 12. At left is Nancy Intermill, LLWC President, and at right is Bonnie Coffey, LLWC Executive Director.

	Nebraskan of the Year Mayor Seng presented Leola Bullock with a key to the City at the Rotary Club’s 17th annual Nebraskan of the Year luncheon honoring Bullock February 13th.

	Chamber Annual Meeting Mayor Seng presented Jonathan Alter, senior editor of Newsweek Magazine, with a key to the City January 28. Alter was the keynote speaker at the 2004 annual meeting of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
