The public is invited to an open house Tuesday, July 21 on a roadway and streetscape improvement project on S. 48th St. between Calvert and Pioneers. The meeting includes a brief presentation at 5:15 p.m., which will be repeated at 6:15 p.m.
The project includes street rehabilitation and water main replacement as well as a new storm sewer, new street lights, a new traffic signal and streetscape amenities. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2010.
Those attending the open house will be able to view displays and discuss the project with representatives from the City's Public Works and Utilities and Urban Development departments.
