The public is invited to an open house Thursday February 10 on construction of the Antelope Valley Parkway from "K" to "P" streets. The meeting is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 2143 "O" Street and is sponsored by the Joint Antelope Valley Authority (JAVA).
The project includes a new roadway along 19th Street from "K" to "P" street and the reconstruction of "O" Street between 17th and 21st streets. Demolition of several structures has begun, and roadway construction is expected to begin in early March, with completion in late 2012.
The open house will not include a formal presentation, but those attending will be able to review the proposed improvements and discuss the project with representatives from JAVA, the construction management team and the contractor.
The meeting room is accessible for persons with disabilities. Those requiring additional special accommodations are asked to call Kris Humphrey at 441-7711.
