City Garages Offer $3 All-Day Parking For Tourneys

Free bus shuttle to operate between Haymarket Garage, Pershing Center

The City of Lincoln is offering $3 all-day event parking for the State High School Basketball Tournaments. The Girls Tournament is March 3 through 5, and the Boys Tournament is March 10 through 12. The special all-day rate is available Thursdays and Fridays at these facilities:

• Haymarket Garage, 848 "Q" Street
• Market Place Garage, 925 "Q" Street
• Iron Horse lot, 7th and "Q" Streets

A free shuttle bus shuttle to and from Pershing Center will load and unload passengers on the east side (9th Street) of the Haymarket Garage only. The shuttle will operate every 10 minutes.

Fans are urged to avoid parking in private lots east of Pershing. Patrons are urged to look for tow notices in private lots and avoid the expense and inconvenience that results from a towed vehicle.

The $3 all-day rate only applies to the facilities listed above. First Hour Free parking applies in the City's other facilities marked with "Park and Go" signage:

• Carriage Park Garage, 1128 "L" Street
• Center Park Garage, 1120 "N" Street
• Cornhusker Square Garage, 1220 "L" Street
• Que Place Garage, 1111 "Q" Street
• University Square Garage, 101 N. 14th Street
• Lumberworks Lot, 7th and "O" streets

After 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday during the tourneys, parking also will be available near Pershing Center in the State Parking Garage, 1501 "M" St., and the Federal Parking Garage, 100 S. Centennial Mall, for the event parking rate of $5. No overnight parking is allowed in these facilities.
