City Parks and Recreation and Public Works officials today advised Lincoln residents to take fallen tree branches to the City Transfer Station at 5101 N. 48th St. The facility will be open until 5 p.m. today (Sunday) and will reopen from 6:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday.
City Parks and Recreation and Public Works and Utilities crews have been working all night to open up blocked streets. Residents are urged to call the Lincoln Police Department non-emergency line at 402-441-6000 to report streets that are blocked due to storm debris.
If branches are down on sidewalks or in the public right of way between the sidewalk and the curb, residents are asked to call the Community Forestry Office at 402-441-7035.
