Facilities Continue Accepting Tree Debris

Public Works officials today advised Lincoln residents to continue hauling fallen tree debris to the City Transfer Station at 5101 N. 48th St. The facility is open the following hours:

Regular disposal charges and fees apply. To avoid an extra charge, residents are advised to "tarp and tie" their load. For more information, visit the City website at lincoln.ne.gov (keyword: landfill).

Residents also can continue hauling tree debris to Hofeling Enterprises, 2200 S. Folsom Court. Hofeling Enterprises is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. There is a $10 fee for a pickup or trailer load.

To report streets that are blocked due to storm debris, contact the Lincoln Police Department non-emergency line at 402-441-6000. For branches on sidewalks or in the public right of way between the sidewalk and the curb, contact Community Forestry Office at 402-441-7035.

The City Forestry Office is acting on all messages left on the Forestry Office voice mail. Calls are being recorded with names and residences added to the list for service.
