The public is invited to a workshop Tuesday, March 20 on the update to the City's Downtown Master Plan created in 2005. A presentation and discussion are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S. 13th St.
The City is working on the update in collaboration with the Downtown Lincoln Association (DLA), and the workshop is an opportunity for residents to review the proposed changes and provide feedback before the updated plan is submitted to the City-County Planning Commission and City Council for adoption. The existing plan can be found at urban.lincoln.ne.gov.
The discussion will be lead by a team from planning and design consultant Crandall Arambula. The workshop will focus on the vision for downtown, with an emphasis on the "M" and "N" street connections between the West Haymarket and the Antelope Valley area; the "P" Street retail corridor; and the design and operation of streets to sidewalks to accommodate, vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and mass transit.
