"O" Street to Close From 17th to 21st Streets

Beginning Monday, April 16, "O" Street will close between 17th to 21st streets for reconstruction. Work will include the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of 19th and "O" streets.

Barring unforeseen delays, the contractor will have 85 days to complete the work and open "O" Street to through-traffic July 10. During construction, traffic rerouted to these detours:

• Eastbound: north on 17th (one way) east on "P" (one way) and south on 21st
• Westbound: north on 21st, west on "Q" (one way) and south on 16th (one way)

Businesses along "O" Street will remain open, and a chain link fence will separate pedestrians from the construction zone.

The work is part of the Antelope Valley Project currently under construction from "P" to "K" street along 19th Street/Antelope Valley Parkway. More information on the project is available on the City website lincoln.ne.gov (keyword: antelope - click on "construction information").
