The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Lincoln Parks Foundation to offer a new program about growing roses in southeast Nebraska.
The "Roses! Roses! Roses!" seminar will be offered from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6 in the Hamann Rose Garden in Antelope Park at 27th and "C" streets, across from the Sunken Gardens. Sign-in begins at 12:30 p.m. The seminar includes six 20-minute sessions on selecting, planting, pruning and caring for roses. Refreshments and informational packets will be provided.
Registration is $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the event. The public can pre-register in several ways:
The rain date is Sunday, April 7. Proceeds from the program support care of the public rose gardens in Antelope Park.
