Beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, the southbound 56th Street traffic lanes from Randolph Street to "A" Street will close for Lincoln Electric System power line work.
The closure will be daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is expected to last about three weeks. During construction, traffic will be rerouted using Cotner Boulevard and "A" Street.
Following completion of this first phase of the project, the second phase will begin with work continuing on South 56th Street from Randolph Street to "L" Street. The second phase is expected to last about two weeks.
