Lincoln City Libraries is partnering with the Lincoln Stars hockey team for November's preschool storytime program. Stars' players will read aloud to the children and teach them about hockey and the equipment used to play the game.
"We are excited by the opportunity given to us by the Lincoln City Libraries for our Stars players to meet and interact with children from the community," said Alanna Morse, Head of Business Development for the Lincoln Stars. "Many of these children look up to the players as role models, and we feel it is our obligation to set a good example and encourage reading on a daily basis."
Preschool storytime programs begin at 10:30 a.m. on the following dates:
Pre-registration is not required, and newcomers are always welcome.
Preschool storytime supports early literacy by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature and participation in language-related activities.
