Dylan Shelton of Madcap Puppets will give a free performance of "Hansel and Gretel" at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 20 at the Gere Branch Library, 2400 S. 56th Street. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and see the puppets up close.
Lincoln City Libraries is partnering with Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra (LSO) to present the 30-minute show. Shelton will also give an introduction to "Peter and the Wolf," which he will perform with LSO at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23 at O'Donnell Auditorium at Nebraska Wesleyan.
"LSO is always proud to partner with community organizations to bring music and the performing arts to all in Lincoln," said Lindsay Bartlett, Executive Coordinator with LSO. "We are thrilled to bring Madcap Puppets to Lincoln and are grateful to the Lincoln City Libraries for presenting this program at Gere Branch."
