Street Closures Planned for Chesney Concert

To accommodate special events in connection with the July 16th Kenny Chesney concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Canopy Street will be closed from just north of "Q" Street to "R" Street from 3 p.m. to midnight. "R" Street will also be closed to through traffic, with barricades at 7th Street and just east of the Red One Parking garage. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

A "No Shoes Nation Pre-Party" is set for 2 to 8 p.m. in the Arena's north festival lot. More information is available at pinnaclebankarena.com. The Railyard is also hosting a party from 4 to 8 p.m. More information is available at canopyst.com/railyard.

Drivers are advised that the fastest route to the garages south of the Arena is Arena Drive, with garage entrances at Arena Drive, "P", "Q" and "R" streets. Driving through the Historic Haymarket is discouraged for those using Red 1, Green 2, Blue 3 and the Lumberworks garages. Reserved parking is available at parkandgo.org.

The drop-off area for those who need an ADA accessible route will be on "R" Street, just east of the Red 1 parking garage entrance. A u-turn will be permitted in front of the drop-off area, and drivers will be directed through the area. Additional drop-off areas can be found south of the post office and next to the south bound lane of 7th Street, adjacent to the Railyard. Passenger pick-up can also be arranged in these areas.
