Prairie Run to Support Nature Center Restoration

The public is invited to participate in the annual Prairie Run at Pioneers Park Nature Center Saturday, November 7. The one-mile kids run (five to 12 years of age) will begin at 9 a.m., and the 5K for ages 13 and up set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration is required, and participants can sign up at getmeregistered.com.

The cost is $10 for the one-mile run and $20 for the 5K. Adults wishing to run the one-mile run with their children will need to register as adults. All proceeds will support Nature Center land management and prairie restoration projects.

Registration will remain open until November 5, and those who register by October 27 will receive a free t-shirt. Participants can pick up packets Friday, November 6 at Zipline Brewing Company, 2100 Magnum Circle, and prior to the run on November 7 at the Nature Center school house. All participants will be entered in a drawing for prizes.

Event sponsors include the Lincoln Running Company, Scheels, Oak Creek Flowers and Trader Joe's.
