The City of Lincoln is extending application deadline for the Sustainable Landscapes Cost Share program from March 30 to April 29 or until funding runs out. The projects eligible for cost-sharing are designed to prevent stormwater from flowing directly into storm drains by allowing it to soak into the ground. That provides a natural filter to break down pollutants that can enter local lakes and stream.
The following projects qualify for 50-percent reimbursement of eligible expenses:
To participate, applicants must own the property where the projects will take place, and the property must be located within the City limits. Applications must be approved before work can begin. Applicants will initially pay for all expenses. When the project is completed, applicants will schedule a final site evaluation and submit receipts for reimbursement.
