Construction to Begin on Superior Street

Work will begin soon on a paving project on Superior Street from I-180 to 27th Street, and lane closures will begin Sunday, May 22, weather permitting. At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during construction. Work will begin in the westbound lanes of Superior Street from just west of the 14th Street roundabout to the I-180 on-ramp.

The project includes repairing or removing and replacing deteriorated concrete panels, joints and curbs as well as sealing joints and cracks. Other work includes removing and replacing damaged storm drainage inlet tops, constructing pedestrian curb ramps and making utility adjustments. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-October 2016.
