Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 33rd Street will be closed from Cornhusker Highway to Madison Avenue for railroad track repair. The street is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) will remove the concrete panels from the center of the tracks and modify the approaches to create a smoother crossing at 33rd Street. The suggested detour route is Cornhusker, 27th Street and Holdrege Street.
