The Salt Creek Levee Trail is closed at "O" Street today for the removal of a large cottonwood tree that has washed up against the "O" Street bridge.
Both the Rock Island Trail and the Billy Wolff Trail are closed in the area near the 27th Street underpass. The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District has an erosion control project under way along the Billy Wolff Trail as well as storm drain repairs on the opposite side of the trail. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June, weather permitting. Trail users are advised to use the "A" Street sidewalks to reach the 27thStreet sidewalks and then cross to the north side of Capitol Parkway to rejoin the Billy Wolff Trail. Children's Zoo visitors may still use the Rock Island Trail between the parking area south of "A" Street to the Zoo entrance.
