The Parks and Recreation Department will remove 10 diseased and ailing trees this week in Antelope Park South, 33rd and Pawnee streets. The work is being done to prepare for the renovation of the landscape surrounding the Pioneer Woman sculpture later this spring. The project will include installing native plants in the park surrounding the sculpture. The tree work is being done now to comply with the Federal Migratory Bird Act.
