Aging Partners Invites the Public to Active Age Fair April 13

Aging Partners invites senior citizens and the public to the Active Age Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the Belmont Senior Center, 1234 Judson St. The event will showcase services and other opportunities available at the Lincoln and Lancaster County senior centers. No event registration is required, but lunch reservations must be made by Tuesday, April 11 by calling 402-441-7990. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

"Today's older adults are more active and engaged than ever before," said Randy Jones, Aging Partners Director. "Our Aging Partners senior centers play a key role in helping them discover new ways to celebrate life in their 'active age.' This fair can serve as a great introduction to all that Aging Partners and our senior centers have to offer."

Mark Lehl will provide music beginning at 10:30 a.m. Other services and programs to be featured at the fair include senior health and fitness testing, balance and glucose testing, nutrition consultation and seated massage.

Transportation is available for those living north of "O" Street and west of 33rd Street, extending to the City limits. There is a $4 suggested contribution for transportation, and reservations are required by calling 402-441-7990 by Thursday, April 6.

The event is presented in partnership with Lincoln Parks and Recreation. The Belmont Senior Center and the Belmont Recreation Center are located in the Belmont Elementary School building.
