Public is Invited to August Nature Center Programs

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites the public to the following events in August:

Nature Origami Class - Saturday, August 5, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Certified Japanese Origami Association instructor, Andy Lewicki who will teach the class has taught classes at Southeast Community College, the YMCA and First Plymouth Church. This class is open to adults only, and space is limited. The fee is $8 per person, and registration is required by August 3.

Hayrack Rides - Friday, August 18, 7 and 8 p.m.

Guides will provide information about local flora and fauna and how the natural world may react to the total solar eclipse Monday, August, 21. Space is limited, and the program fee is $8 per person, which includes a pair of eclipse glasses. Registration is required by August 16.

Dawn Hike - Saturday, August 19, 6:15 to 7:30 a.m.

Bring your own coffee and binoculars and enjoy a peaceful sunrise walk with your guide to see the morning rituals of wildlife. Space is limited , and the program fee is $6 per person, which includes a pair of eclipse glasses. Registration is required by August 16.
