Traffic on the N. 27th Street viaduct just south of Cornhusker Hwy. will be restricted to single north and southbound lanes from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, August 10 for a routine bridge inspection. Motorists are asked to exercise caution around City inspectors while they work in the area.
The inspection enables the City to monitor the condition of the structure and to identify bridge degradation. The viaduct was rehabilitated in 2013, and past inspections have revealed no immediate safety concerns. The biannual inspection is also necessary for the City to meet the requirements of national bridge inspection standards.
